I have seen the tank cleaning process develop from cleaning tank trucks with a garden hose to todays high-tech cleaning systems. I use this knowledge solving problems in my daily work with my customers.

Certificates

The EFCTO Cleaning Document

Without a standardised cleaning certificate, most shippers will not accept your means of transport. However, the hygiene standards of the EFTCO (European Federation of Tank Cleaning Organisations) and ENFIT (also an european standardisation outfit) are very high.

Standardised European cleaning documents help freight forwarders and shippers ensure that cleaning is carried out according to a certified scheme. EFTCO or ENFIT tank cleaning codes are used for all the information on the document. This makes the content understandable in all languages. Authorisation is required to issue the certificate. The trend is increasingly moving towards the electronic cleaning document to simplify the exchanges.
