What do we offer?
Raw materials for ceramics
The outstanding mechanical, thermal, electric and chemical properties, as well as the excellent price-performance ratio of aluminum oxide, make calcined and reactive alumina one of the most important raw materials in industrial and high-performance ceramics. The extreme strength and abrasion resistance of corundum are key properties in wear-resistant ceramics.

Properties & Applications
Properties
High purity, finely crystalline alumina with a sodium oxide content of max. 0.1% are of particular importance in technical high-performance ceramics.
In refractory ceramics, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and heat resistance are vital properties of aluminum oxide (melting point > 2000 °C).
Thanks to its electrically insulating properties, aluminum oxide remains an important raw material in the field of insulating ceramics.
Applications
Many electronic components use aluminum oxide: its thermal conductivity, as well as its resistance to changes in temperature, make the product an indispensable material in the automotive industry, to name just one example.
In industrial ceramics, reactive alumina are used to achieve certain properties through the formation of minerals containing aluminum oxide, such as cordierite or mullite. The addition of aluminum oxide to frits and glazes, for example, helps increase surface strength, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance.
