What do we offer?
Highly efficient complexing agents and phosphonates
Complexing agents and phosphonates are chemical compounds that form chelations with metal ions and are used in the detergent and cleaning agent industry to mask the water hardness.
We offer a comprehensive portfolio with all common products such as EDTA, HEDP and PBTC, but also with some special products. NEW in the portfolio: Sustainable complexing agents
The green, environmentally friendly products MGDA and GLDA. Detailed information can be found HERE.

Complexing agents
New in the range: Sustainable complexing agents
The chemical industry is increasingly focusing on sustainable and ecological products while maintaining performance in the application. In addition to conventional complexing agents such as NTA or EDTA, the bio-based and biodegradable STOCKMEIER alternatives combine functionality, versatile formulation options and environmental compatibility.
The products include MGDA as well as GLDA types, both of which are sustainably produced on the basis of amino acids.
For the appropriate application, the complexing agents are offered in both liquid and solid form.
The products are also suitable for halal, kosher and vegan applications.

Good to know
What are complexing agents?
Complexing agents (or chelating agents) are chemical compounds that are capable of forming chemical complexes. They are used in particular for the complexation of metals.
What are phosphonates?
Phosphonates are salts and organic compounds of the phosphonic acid H3PO3.
Where are complexing agents and phosphonates used?
Complexing agents and phosphonates are used as additives in the detergent and cleaning agent industry, in the galvanic and printed circuit board industry and in chemical analysis. There are also complexing agents as food additives for the food industry.
In detergent formulations, complexing agents and phosphonates can be used as water softeners. In addition, they serve in combination to inhibit corrosion and as bleach stabilisers.
An important industrial use of phosphonates is in cooling water systems and desalination plants, where they prevent the breakdown of salts. In the textile and paper industry they are used as stabilisers for peroxide bleaching. There they complex metals which would otherwise inactivate the peroxide.
